Software to size and calculate capital and water cost of single stage solar RO unit

Short description

CEA (a French governmental organization) is involved in desalination since many years. Modelling of desalination systems and coupling these systems with heat and power sources is one of its activities in this field.

 

Computer models allowing sizing and calculating capital and water cost of single stage RO unit. Power is provided by grid or by PV solar collectors. Electricity storage in batteries is implemented in the model. All combinations of power from PV, grid and batteries is possible.

Input: targeted capacity, membrane characteristics and cost functions for RO module, site data (DNI table and sun positions table) for PV.
